In honor of the statewide celebration of the Month of the Young Child, members of the Downriver community come together at this annual event to exchange information about the important role of parenting children during infancy through the teen years.
"Bucket Fillers" are a dynamic group of experienced, certified teachers and counselors whose mission is to create a world of bucket fillers. "Bucket fillers" are those who help without being asked, give hugs and compliments and generally spread their love and good feelings to others. The simple metaphor of a bucket helps even preschoolers understand the importance of consideration and love, particularly towards those who bully.

Happy Tom
After working as a School Psychologist for the Grosse Ile Schools, Happy Tom likes to put down his briefcase and play songs sprinkled with silliness on a layer of learning. Following his hit single, "Boogers" from the album "Crack Me A Smile," Happy Tom went on the create the CD, "Tot Rocks, a raw 4-Track recording written, played, sung, mixed and produced right in his own basement. Happy Tom has recently colloborated with other local musicians on the "Family Hootenanny" CD and just finished track nine on the "Holiday Hootenanny," with all proceeds donated to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen. Happy Tom's song, "Crazy Christmas," hit the national airwaves on December 18th at WFMU in New Jersey and he is happy to bring his learning jamboree to the Family Expo this year.
